The NWY box and HWT pin are both components used in diamond drilling operations. The NWY box has an outer diameter of 2.875 inches (7.3 cm) and a length of 5.5 inches (14 cm), while the HWT pin has an outer diameter of 2.375 inches (6 cm) and a length of 7.5 inches (19 cm). The NWY box has a female thread on the inside, while the HWT pin has a male thread on the outside. To connect the two components, the HWT pin is inserted into the NWY box and rotated until the threads interlock. This creates a secure connection between the two components, allowing for the transfer of drilling fluids and the rotation of the drill bit.
