Phoenix PWF Long Core Drill Bit - PCD - Standard

Our PCD coring bits are engineered to the highest possible quality.  Due to the polycrystalline diamond cutters set on the crown they have a long working life, very fast penetration rates and high percentage of core recovery in soft through to hard rock formations. PCD bits are a great alternative to T.C bits and Surface set diamond bits, when drilling in non-consolidated and medium/hard rock formations. PCD bits may be used with air, mud or foam flushing.  

The PWL Long core bit has an overall diameter of 120.78mm or 4.755 Inches, with a coring (inside) diameter of 92.33mm or 3.635 Inches. The long barrel size makes PWL Long bits one of the most effective ways of extracting and retaining lengthy and sturdy sample sizes.

Drill-Its Phoenix set of drill bits are our range of Standard PCD coring tools, meaning that they use Core Barrel Drill-Line Inner Tube Plastic Liner consisting of a clear, thin-wall extruded rigid plastic tube of which by accurate manufacturing processes is manufactured to close tolerances on both the outside and the inside diameters. Clearance between the O.D. of the “Drill-Line'' and I.D. of the Core Barrel inner tube is therefore carefully controlled and allows easy fitting of the Plastic Tube into the inner tube in the field. When the clear plastic material is used (inserted) it will not contaminate the Core sample during drilling and encapsulation. The material does not absorb water and will not swell or change shape.
