The sturdy barrel and decent sample size makes HWL one of the most popular forms of wireline core extraction.

The fact that these bits are Standard Wireline coring tools means they use Core Barrel Drill-Line Inner Tube Plastic Liner. When the clear plastic Liner is used (inserted) it will not contaminate the Core sample during drilling and encapsulation.
