A Standard Penetration Testing (SPT) sampling cone, also known as an SPT split spoon sampler or SPT split spoon sampler shoe, is a specific type of sampling tool used in geotechnical investigations and soil testing. It is commonly used in the SPT test method, which is a widely used technique for determining soil properties and evaluating subsurface conditions.

The SPT sampling cone consists of a cylindrical steel tube with a cutting shoe attached to its bottom end.
